v2

So v2 of the camper project required a little bit more legwork. I had to remove the middle seats to provide more space in the back. The sleeping platform is based on two slabs of cork board that rest on the trunk and some sort of stand, for these i used my cooler and a smol camp chair. After a little bit of wrapping and adding an air mattress, the finished product of v2 looks pretty rad: It’s the perfect height, I’m 5’8” and I can sit upright in the back with still some clearance above my head.  It’s also super comfy and fun to lay in.

The 500l Camper, v1

Hey all! This blog is for updates, pictures, and more information on my Fiat 500L Camper project. My goal is/was to create a nearly full featured camper van into the back of my relatively small Fiat 500L. I love the idea of being able to camp out just about anywhere or being able to crash for the night wherever I am without much worry. v1 Of the camper van was more of a hasty put-together, basically I put an air mattress on top of my seats, while they were folded down. This concept was alright, minus the fact that i felt really high up and uncomfortable. However for a first try, i was able to fall asleep in it and grab some shut eye for a few hours. It’s kinda hard when I’m working with something the size of a Kia Soul!
